Starkville Boys Complete Sweep Of Clinton
STARKVILLE - Starkville completed the season sweep of Clinton on Thursday at The Nest with a 70-35 win.
The 35-point win kept the Jackets perfect in region play. The big margin win was propelled by a 17-4 lead after the first eight minutes, followed by a 20-point second quarter output by SHS for a 37-17 lead at halftime.
Senior Terrell Warren, Jr. led the Jackets in scoring with 13 points on three field goals and connected on 6-of-8 from the free throw line. He finished with four rebounds and and a steal. Senior Jaden Tate and junior Kobe Hendrix combined for 16 points with both recording eight points each. Hendrix tallied three steals and dished out a trio of assists.
Junior Ladanuel Jordan finished with eight points and six rebounds.
The Jackets return to action next week with visits to Madison Central on Tuesday (Jan. 27) and Oxford on Friday (Jan. 30).
