Lady Jackets Sweep Booneville Classic
Starkville remains unbeaten to start the season.
BOONEVILLE – Starkville remained unbeaten with a sweep of the Booneville Classic during the Thanksgiving break.
The Lady Jackets (7-0) opened the two-day event with a 73-41 win over Pontotoc on Monday and followed up the 32-point win with another double-digit win on Tuesday. SHS posted a 58-38 win over Booneville.
Against PHS, four Lady Jackets turned in double figures in the scoring column, led by junior Zariah Brown. Brown finished with a game-high 15 points. Seniors Jade Brown and Jada Gay collected 14 points each.
Junior Logan Warren added 13 points to round out SHS's double digit scorers.
Senior Karmen Robinson contributed five points, while senior Morgan William had a pair of baskets.
The Lady Jackets open the month of December on Tuesday at Forest Hill.
